Roofline provide many ways to secure and strengthen your ridge line. Commonly in domestic properties there are three methods/systems we can offer.

1. Re Pointing 2. Re Bedding 3. Dry Ridge
System

1. Re-Pointing

Traditionally the most cost effective way of stabilising loose ridge tiles. Unfortunately this system breaks easily if the roof flexes during high winds and storms. Being sand and cement, pointing also absorbs water and will eventually crack. Re-pointing works should be conducted on an annual basis.
2. Re-Bedding

This involves stripping off the existing ridge tiles, removing all old cement work, and then fully re-bedding the entire ridge line on a new cement bed with plasticizer. This way the cement work is more substantial and stands a better chance against the elements.
3. Dry Ridge System

A new addition to our company from 2006, these systems are now proving a tremendous, permanent asset to any roof structure. The ridge tiles are fastened to the roofing joists via a full bracket system instead of using cement.

The system is flexible and water tight, and provides a lasting solution to the problem of high maintenance ridge tiles. Please view some of our new roofing projects via the new roof tab to see how all of our new roofing projects are supplied with full Dry Ridge Systems.
